Hi! I’m Gaby—part mermaid, part cowgirl, and a little bit spicy.

I started Mermaid in Cowboy Boots because people kept coming to me for recs on everything from skincare to sunset dinners, beach reads to golf tips—and I loved sharing it all. I grew up with sandy toes, Southern roots, and a Venezuelan heart, so this space is a blend of it all: saltwater days, backroad adventures, and a touch of sass.

I was raised in South America, and while I never thought I’d go full “Latina turned country,” here I am—fluent in Spanish, obsessed with marine life, and a diehard Georgia football fan. I played collegiate golf at the University of Georgia (go Dawgs!), and that’s where I fell even deeper in love with sports, Southern culture, and sweet tea Saturdays.

Here you’ll find my tried-and-true favorites across skincare, food, fun, fitness, books, and photography. This blog is where all of my worlds come together—from the beach to the back nine to the backroads of Georgia (with a little reggaetón in the background).
